Directions to the club
By Rail
The nearest mainline station is Newcastle Central. There is a Metro network that connects Newcastle Central to Tynemouth and our golf club is about 10-15 minutes walk from the Tynemouth Metro Station which is a Grade II* listed building opened in 1882
From the East
A very warm welcome to overseas visiting golfers. You have arrived on a North Sea ferry. If you have a car then from the terminal proceed up Coble Dene through two roundabouts to Howdon Road, A187. At the third roundabout take third exit and proceed along Howdon Road to the east. At the next roundabout take the second exit.
At the next roundabout proceed on the first exit. At the next roundabout take the second exit. At the next roundabout take the third exit onto Prudhoe Street and continue onto Saville Street. Passing an Asda store on your right proceed through the pedestrian crossing and passed the car park on your left.
Turn left into Howard Street (Saville Exchange is on the corner) and proceed to the traffic lights. Turn right. Follow the road for about 750m and turn left into Washington Terrace. Proceed to the end of the road and our club is directly ahead of you.
If you do not have a car we can arrange transport to our golf club and onward.
From the North
Proceed down the A1 and exit at the sign for A19. At the roundabout take the third exit onto the A19 sign-posted Tyne Tunnel. At the next roundabout take the third exit onto the A19 and continue to the Silverlink roundabout where you take the third exit onto the eastbound A1058.
Proceed to the Billy Mill roundabout. Take the third exit onto the A1108. At the next roundabout take the first exit and follow the road (becoming Alexandra Road) through two sets of traffic lights onto Trevor Terrace. After approximately half mile the golf club will be found on your left.
From the South (A1)
Pass Washington Services, move into the right hand lane and bear right onto the A194(M). At the first roundabout take the third exit onto the eastbound A184. At the next roundabout take the first exit onto the A19, proceed through the Tyne Tunnel to the first roundabout – Silverlink.
Take the fourth exit onto the eastbound A1058. Proceed to the Billy Mill roundabout. Take the third exit onto the A1108. At the next roundabout take the first exit and follow the road (becoming Alexandra Road) through two sets of traffic lights onto Trevor Terrace. After approximately half mile the golf club will be found on your left.
From the South (A19)
Proceed through the Tyne Tunnel and continue on the A19 to the first roundabout – Silverlink. Take the fourth exit onto the eastbound A1058. Proceed to the Billy Mill roundabout. Take the third exit onto the A1108.
At the next roundabout take the first exit and follow the road (becoming Alexandra Road) through two sets of traffic lights onto Trevor Terrace. After approximately half mile the golf club will be found on your left.
From the West
Proceed along the A69 to the A1 taking the first exit at the roundabout onto the A1 northbound. Stay in the left hand lane and take the first slip road exit. Move into the right-hand lane and onto the roundabout taking the third exit onto the A167. Proceed through three roundabouts and at the fourth take the second exit onto the A167 (M).
Proceed on the A167 (M) until the underpass, moving into the left hand lane and exit on the slip road to the A1058 (Tynemouth and the Coast). Continue on the A1058 for approx. 9 miles to the Billy Mill roundabout.
Take the third exit onto the A1108. At the next roundabout take the first exit and follow the road (becoming Alexandra Road) through two sets of traffic lights onto Trevor Terrace. After approximately half mile the golf club will be found on your left.
